Trusts & Estates Litigation
Berg & Androphy attorneys have the expertise and track record to best represent our clients’ needs in trusts & estates litigation. Our firm has had a special interest in trusts & estates litigation since David Berg tried his first large trust-related case in 1991. In that action, David represented Texas retail scion Robert Sakowitz, whose family members accused of mismanaging the family estate and its multi-state chain of clothing stores and sought $24 million in actual and punitive damages. The jury returned a verdict exonerating Mr. Sakowitz entirely. These battles are often as brutal as divorce proceedings or the dissolution of business partnerships and therefore require an earnest attempt at resolution without trial in order to preserve family relationships. But if that fails, these matters require the extensive trial experience that Berg & Androphy lawyers offer.
