Walter joined Berg & Androphy in 2005.
He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, environmental, toxic torts, medical
malpractice, employment discrimination, personal injury, insurance coverage opinions involving Commercial General
Liability and homeowner’s policies and such unique areas of the law as community/homeowners associations
and cemeteries. Walter has also handled several appeals including the successful defense in the 14th Court of Appeals
and the Texas Supreme Court against a writ of mandamus involving Apex depositions ( In re American Occidental
Life Ins. Co.) and a case of first impression in Texas involving firefighters, the Rescue doctrine and premises
liability (Campus Management, Inc. v. Kimball, 991 S.W.2d 948 (Tex.App.-Fort Worth 1999, writ denied).
Prior to going to law school, Walter was a police officer with the University of Texas at Houston for thirteen
years. His work as a police officer was recognized by the 100 Club of Houston when he received “Honorable
Mention” as “Police Officer of the Year”.
